Glowie Co (glowieco.com) was created by Asian Beauty junkies who were tired of not being able to find our favorite products available online or having to wait up to a month for their arrival. We strive to offer the newest and most innovative Asian Beauty products in addition to the cult classics from Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. We ship everything from our US warehouse and we’re based out of Berkeley, CA. 

We are looking for a part-time paid independent contractor to fill our Social Media Marketing Intern role. The hours will start small, but if you’re passionate about the beauty industry and social media marketing, we think that this job will be a great fit for you.

Hours and Compensation Details:

• This role will be contracted on a month-to-month basis. 
• The work is mostly remote but being able to occasionally meet in Berkeley to pick up products from us is preferred.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Strong written language skills and savvy communication required to meet demands of managing brand social media.
• Must have an interest in skincare and beauty.
• Some photography skills are preferred. Professional cameras are not required - phone is okay if the applicant is skilled.
• Preferred: has a background in marketing.
• Preferred: has some social media marketing experience.

Job Description: 

• Reports to: Annie Wang CEO of Glowie Co.
• Assist in managing Glowie Co’s social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
• Create 5-6 social media assets per week. This can include original photography and/or re-purposed existing assets. This includes both a still photograph or video in addition to a caption.
• The assets are to be cross-posted across 2-3 of Glowie Co’s social media accounts
• Schedule the post in the Planoly Social Media Management platform for approval by the CEO of Glowie Co.
• Respond to some comments of posts on main social channels: Instagram, Facebook.
